he's gained some new besties over the years he's been away, but he's still gonna cling on to Illyana like a goddamned limpet, even though they now have a weird age gap in their friendship

dealing with a lot of mental health issues (as you do when your resumé includes being queen to the remnants of humanity in an underground bunker for six years), but she has more of a handle on them now than she did back when she reappeared last summer (as well as actual professional help)
yes this also includes the currently highly repressed tidbit that Lucifer is God now, after they spent half the summer in LA dealing with his dad retiring and the ensuing war for the throne, which they won

kinda sad, very tired, chock full of untreated PTSD, generally mistrustful of both his surroundings but especially his own ability to properly human, thanks to a decades-long repeated cycle of cryo and brainwashing
he's getting a little better about thinking the positive emotions he shows are actually his own and not an act, though!
inherited a furnished warehouse space in town from Éponine when she left, still unsure about what to do with it
comes closest to relaxing around Jesse, because two awkward, secretive people go great together
Wanda's clearly trying to muscle her way in there a little bit, too
was avoiding the Steve in town for a long time like his life depended on it, now slowly trying to make amends for it
so naturally he's about to flip out over all of the above and bolt out into the world again, to slide right on into Civil War for a little catch-up action
